Space Huggers
About
Space Huggers by Frank Force (creator of the LittleJS engine) is a run-and-gun roguelike platformer where the environment is part of the arsenal: every wall, floor and ceiling is destructible, so if a doorway is guarded you can simply make a new one. Procedurally generated missions, chunky pixel explosions and tight controls give it real arcade energy, and no two runs play the same. Grew out of a 13KB game-jam entry into a full pocket roguelike — all in your browser.
Controls
WASD or arrows to move, mouse or Z/X to shoot and jump. R rolls, hold down to crouch.
Tips
- Shoot the ground beneath enemies instead of the enemies.
- Roll through explosions — the i-frames are generous.
- Grenades open shortcuts the level designer never intended. That's the point.
